Two New England teams in Guyra and Inverell faced off in the B grade final. Inverell edged out Guyra 17-14.
Jock Grills was awarded the division’s best horse and rider combination.
Guyra also made the final in the D grade against Cunningham. In a tight encounter, Guyra were beaten 5-2.
Abby Finlayson received best horse and rider for the grade. The junior team was the club’s most successful, going up against Cunningham in the final and coming out winners. Charles Fittler was another Guyra local who won best horse and rider.
Guyra also sent teams to the junior classic in Albury.
After a week of coaching, several players were selected in teams for the interstate challenge.
Zac Finlayson was selected in Subjuniors NSW 1, Alice Finlayson was picked in Subjuniors NSW 2. Both teams missed the finals.
Alec Grills in NSW junior 1, had a win in golden point. He also received best number three, best horse and rider combo and best male Australian stock horse.
Zac, Alice and Bridget McKemey went to Sydney show for subjunior exhibition games. Alice received best stock horse on Finos Ringer.
Bridget won best player and horse combination.
