Second grade played The Armidale School at home.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first and made 183 runs from their 40 overs.
When it was Guyra’s turn to bat, signs weren’t good with four the side’s top order batsmen sent packing for a duck.
Coming in at number seven, Jake Brazier steadied the ship with a solid 73.
His knock wasn’t enough to secure a win for the side who were bowled out 13 runs short of TAS’ total.
Captain Charlie Keen said while the side’s bowling stocks look good, the team needs to hit the nets and sharpen up their skills with the bat.
"Our top batting order needs to put their head down a bit and stay out there and get a few extra runs,” he said.
"We just have to be a bit tighter in the field, our bowling has always been pretty good but it is our batting that lets us down.”
While second grade experienced a loss, third grade made up for it with a convincing victory over Ex-Services. Openers Andrew Page and Adrian Cameron combined for 125 runs before Andrew Frost added another 87.
Captain Graham Cameron added 46 to Guyra’s total of 292. Guyra managed to bowl Servies out for 120, winning by 172 runs.
