Mr Matley has demonstrated he’s made of stern stuff, doing his rounds in the big rig last week dressed in a fetching pink bra and tutu, completed by a lovely plumed headpiece.
It was all for breast cancer awareness month and Mr Matley raised close to $1600 for the cause in his attention-getting get-up.
Guyra IGA manager Jack Kliendienst said it was an unexpected yet pleasant surprise to see the truckie turn up to deliver the weekly groceries looking pretty in pink.
“It was a bit of a shock to be honest,” Mr Kliendienst said.
“I went to unload and saw him… it’s the guy that drops our groceries off every week.
“He was stopping here and all the stops on the way he had to get photos.”
The Guyra IGA donated a generous $100 towards the cause.
“He said he had raised about $1600 by the time he had got to Guyra.”
Mr Matley headed to Inverell before reverting back to his usual attire.
