The club receives one of the largest allocations of fish in the New England from the LP Dutton Trout Hatchery (183,000 fry).
They are released in all of the declared trout streams from Rockvale in the East to the Georges, Mordun and Laura Creeks in the West.
Streams are in fantastic condition this year after the rains received so the forecast is for a fantastic trout season.
The fish are collected early in the morning from the Hatchery through the generous contribution of Robert (Tappa) Walls and Ducats’ truck. The release is made possible through Guyra’s band of volunteers and members of the Guyra Hotel Anglers Club.
Volunteer numbers are down this year so if anyone would like to participate on Saturday 10th September, the distribution starts at 9am at the Guyra Hotel.
