The students of Black Mountain joined with those from other small schools at the Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre to design rockets, build bridges, construct electrical circuits, investigate germs and learn more about the world of ants with an entomologist, microbiologist and other science experts.
Meanwhile, Book Week was enjoyed by all students, parents, grandparents and staff of Black Mountain Public School. Grandparents shared their favourite childhood stories with students, before enjoying lunch at the school and playing games with students.
Mr Squiggle, Harry Potter, Captain Underpants, Tutankhamun, Raggedy Ann, Princess Leia and many more characters made an appearance at Black Mountain’s book parade. Families wore smiles as character after character graced the runway with their story.
