Well another weather induced closure of junior soccer last week with the low lying paddy fields of Armidale once again unplayable.

Unfortunately, for soccer, but not our farmers, it is looking once again like some rather lovely generalised rain for the latter part of this week, so of course not sure if we will again have any soccer at all.

Perhaps with all the new rates that will be generated by the forced acquisition of Guyra into the “greater” Armidale Shire Council they will be able to raise the level of the fields and make them all weather playable.
We can of course all live in hope.
Still awaiting your visit Barnaby to commiserate with the sorrowful rate payers of Guyra, nothing yet heard.
Just a little question for you all, who owns all the land that the grey hound racing tracks now squat upon?
It would not be State Government by any chance would it?
Imagine how much that real estate is worth on the open market.
Makes a person wonder.
Don’t call me as I will be unavailable for a couple of days.
I am taking the child bride away to the races.
You know when she turned 38 I tried to trade her in for twin 19 year old blondes but was spectacularly unsuccessful.
Imagine how I would fare now that she has turned 48.
Have to go back to talking of “she who must be obeyed” as number one daughter, my favourite child, has banned me from talking of her in this report.
Only one more round for the youngest of our younger players with those from the age of 12 years and up entering into their finals this coming Saturday.

The finals are down to begin this week in one of the most dysfunctional of soccer seasons ever to grace the north, good luck.
The grand Final weekend is set down for Saturday, September 17 and I am unsure of just how the association can handle any more cancellations due to weather.
We really can’t be upset by the recent conditions however with this shaping up to be one of the best seasons entering into spring and summer in the past twenty years.
No news of the presentation days/nights for both juniors and seniors but we will update you with this information as soon as possible.
All the best this weekend for our sides entering into the finals battles.
If you have any tips for the Birdsville Cup give me a shout.
