Wow! What a great weekend of footy. It was the first time at the Sporting Complex that Guyra was host to a Round Robin day. Teams from Guyra, Warialda, Bingara and Armidale all braved the weather to play some very talented football.

The day ran very smoothly with our coaches always organized and prepared for the day. Thank you to all the coaches and League Safe who do a fantastic job each week with the players.
Our first Aid Officers, Wade, Karan and Tara are always there keeping our players safe for every game week in week out and without them we would have no footy; so thank you for your commitment.
Our life member, Norm Williams and the ever so calm Andrew Starr were our ground managers who did a marvellous job and it was pleasing to know that all players and parents showed great sportsmanship. Thanks fellows.
Jason Campbell, along with our junior ref Isaiah King and refs from other clubs had no rest for the wicked as they had to ref numerous games each as teams from under 8 up to senior girls league tag played. They did a great job battling the cold and Isaiah needs to be congratulated on his eagerness and willingness to learn the game.
It was very pleasing to see so many new faces in the canteen and the fellows on the BBQ. You all did a great job, and to those who always make slices and cakes for the canteen this is such a great help and is very much appreciated. Thank you to Pat Ulrick who gave up her time also to help us. The roster system seemed to work well and everyone was more than willing to help out in some way. Thanks Anna for organising this. This is what makes our club so strong.
Wayne MacKenzie and Eric Reeves did that many trips around the fields selling tickets for us they would have been exhausted by the end. It was a job done well and thank you so much in helping us raise funds for junior league. Thanks also to John Atkin for donating a load of wood which will continue to be raffled in our upcoming games.
Kristie and Linley did a great job on the score table all day; they were very organized. Thank you ladies. To those who stayed back and helped clean up, this is probably one of the worst jobs but we got it done real quickly. I’m not sure what the rush was.
I would like to make special mention to Rhonda Youman, Geoff and Anne Thrift and Debbie and Rocky Walls who not only worked non-stop on the day but also in the lead up. Without your support and hard work I believe the day would not have been as successful. It is people like you that make our community the great place it is and it took a load off my shoulders, so from the bottom of my heart thank you. I am ever so grateful.

Under 8s report
On Saturday the u8 boys braved the wind and rainy conditions to play two consecutive games against Bingara and Warialda.
In the first game, the boys took on Bingara and came out victorious. Their second game against Warialda ended in a draw.
The boys put on an outstanding performance, working well together as a team collaborating some fantastic attack plays with Tommy Brazier and Kody Paterson getting a few off-loads away.
Darcy Heagney was tremendous in defence, putting on a few massive hits and hardly missing a tackle all day.
The new additions to our team, Nayte and Maveric Foster showing they are a force to be reckoned with, made some marvellous runs with the ball. Archer Starr had a couple of scoots from dummy half and proved he was no dummy shunting off his opponents along the way.
Tommy Mitchell, Billy Lockyer and Harley Ferguson showed their fabulous improvement in all areas of their gam. Hugo Brazier and Tynan Bull were the top try scorers for the day, each bagging five and six tries for the day.
Well done boys.
