Dylan’s Luck raced at the Gold Coast in class 1 Dr Terrance Scamp 1100m. In the enclosure before the race Dylan’s Luck slipped over and we thought we may have had to scratch him but he was passed by the vet.
He jumped from barrier 4 and just had an easy sit in fourth position. Then at the turn jockey, Nathan Day put him in a nice lead and with 100 metres to go they raced up to him, but Dylan’s Luck kicked just before the post to win by a head.
Trainer Lindsay Hatch said: “We will see how he pulls up this week, then make a decision as to where we start him next or give him a well-earned break and have him ready for the winter carnival in Brisbane.”
Dylan’s Luck was ridden by Nathan Day and trained by Lindsay Hatch in Toowoomba.
