In the last few weeks we have had a hockey meeting where only three people showed up.
Another meeting will be held on Thursday, 18 February at 7:30pm at the Bowling Club.
This meeting will determine the fate of the club, so if you are interested in hockey this season please come to this meeting to keep our great and very successful club going.

Women’s Golf
Anita Murray played her best golf round last Wednesday to win the Par Medal with +8. Anita was pretty chuffed about this success and hopes the purple patch continues on Wednesday.
Wendy Jackson was runner-up with +3 while Joyce Betts won Nearest the Pin on the 9th hole by hitting a good shot which landed just 132 centimetres from the flag.
Next Wednesday, 17 February we will play a Stroke event, including a putting competition, for the 1st Golf NSW Medal.
Nominations will be made for the May Mitchell Memorial Trophy which is a match play competition, with a series of matches to be played during the next couple of months to determine the winner.
On Wednesday, 24 February we will welcome players from the New England and North West for our 4BBB Open Day.

Veterans Golf
On Thursday, 17 hardy Guyra Vets travelled to Uralla for the first Pennants game of the year.
We drove through mist and rain with a heavy cloud cover, expecting the game to be cancelled, but around 90 Vets from Guyra, Armidale, Uralla and Walcha braved the conditions to play for their town.
Those in carts had an advantage as at one point it really rained, but we soldiered on and we all enjoyed the day.
In the A Grade Men’s Division, Ian Taylor came third on a countback with 37 points.
Guyra continued to score well. Doug Archibald won the Men’s C Grade on a countback from David Bearup with 36 points each.
Nancy Prisk won the Ladies’ Division with 36 points and Belinda Lenehan was runner-up with 33.
Wendy George, now a grandmother, won the nearest the pin on the 3rd hole.
Scores for the day were: Walcha 251, Guyra 248, Uralla 240, Armidale Green 228, Armidale Blue 203.
The next Pennants game will be held in Armidale on 23 February, so please keep that date free!
