Everyone is welcome to come and spread some Christmas cheer!
Women’s Golf
Nine players competed in the Stableford event last Wednesday.
The winner with a magnificent 42 points was Karen Oehlers. Runner up with a credible 36 points was Jenny Shiels.
Next week’s event is a Bisque Par for Jenny Shiels’ Trophy.
A Bisque Par is a competition format built on the foundation of Match Play versus Par, but with a twist. Golfers decide on which holes to use handicap strokes. It could be possible to turn a 9 into a Birdie. This is a novel approach as we think of ways to use the points to attain the best Par score for the day’s competition.
The Presentation Night is planned for 9 December at 6:30pm 7:00pm at the Guyra Bowling and Recreation Club.
