First up on Saturday saw D Wilcox, R Cox, M Shiner and J McIllwain do battle with C Person, B Campbell, B Presnell and S Campbell.
Out early, it was the teamof Cameron, Barry, Barry and Scott to a lead of 4-1 after five ends. This game ebbed and flowed and after 12 ends the score read 9-all.
Cameron, the two Barry’s and Scott then jumped and were leading 14-11 after 16 ends.
New leaders on end 17 (16-14) to David, Roger, Mick and John. After 19 ends and with two ends remaining, the score was 17-all.
Cameron, Barry, Barry and Scott, with a one on the penultimate end, were holding game 18 to 17.
David, Roger, Mick and John on the last then scored two shots to come out victors by 19-17.
In this game the lead changed hands 10 times and the scores were level on six occasions.
The next duel was between R Walls, P Johnson, M Bourke and J Jackson up against E Sole, P Kliendienst, B Sole and S Sole.
Robert, Paul, Murray and John came out the better, going to a 5-nil lead. After six ends, however, the score was reading 7-6 to Evan, Phil, Braden and Steven.
With the score reading 11-8 to Evan, Braden, Phil and Steven, this was where Robert, Paul, Murray and John pounced and by end 16 had clawed their way to the front, leading 21-12.
By winning the next four ends Evan, Braden, Phil and Steven were now trailing 20-21 with one end remaining.
By scoring on the last end, the team of Robert, Paul, Murray and John were victorious by 22-20.
The third of these matches witnessed G Starr, G Mitchell, A Sparke and D Kennedy take on W Reeves, H Stanley, G Reeves and R Moore. With Graham, Greg, Andrew and Dan coming out fast and furious they went to an 11-nil lead after seven ends and then stretched it out to 16-4.
Wayne, Harry, Geoff and Robert hung in there, trying their very best, but alas after the designated 21 ends the team of Graham, Greg, Andrew and Dan took home the spoils by 24-12.
Well done to the Skips for ensuring that their teams were complete (subs are definitely out there).

Annual Carnival
Just a reminder people, our Annual December Carnival will commence on Tuesday, 1 December with Ladies Triples followed on the 2nd with Mixed Triples.
On Thursday, 3 December and Friday the 4th will be the Men’s Pairs. Closing out on Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 December, will be the Men’s Triples.
If you wish to see some top shelf bowls “Come on Down”. Start times are on the noticeboard or phone the club.
