Residents can get involved by building, drawing, decorating and displaying something ‘sheepish’ in their front yards or on their house.
They can be as real or as abstract as you want. There will be a competition for the best display as well as competition to seek out and find all of Little Bo Peep’s Sheep.
To be prepared this week we googled
‘crafty lambs’ and
discovered there are many ways to make a lamb ( the old-fashioned natural way excepted).
You can use felt, cotton wool, real wool, cardboard, paper plates, paddle pop sticks, toilet rolls, cotton buds, cd’s, and even marshmallows (yum) - the possibilities are endless!
You can go big, or you can go small. You can be realistic and not so realtisic - the challenge is simply to get involved.
During the Lamb and Potato Festival the hunt will be on so put on you thinking caps.
If that hurts too much, turn on the computer and steal someone else idea.
The name of the game is to get involved and make the 30th Festival one to remember
More details will be available closer to the date – those taking part will be asked to register their address with the committee so everyone will be able to follow the trail.
