Blanche Malcolm, Shana Byrne, Emelia Lavin and Samantha Clayton entered the competition and the judges praised the standard of entrants.
Each girl was interviewed by the panel comprising Belinda Lenehan, Greg Andrews and Marni Hietbrink.
Following the interviews they enjoyed a meal break with members of the organising committee and guests, before being assessed on their public speaking skills.
Show Society President Ellen Newberry introduced the girls, and outlined the role of Showgirl both at a local level and at Zone and State Level.
“This isn’t just a competition for famer’s daughters,” she said. “It is a competition for anyone living in rural NSW who is passionate about where they live.”
Contestants are judged on personality, confidence, ambition and life goals, local and general knowledge, presentation and speech.
In addition to their potential ambassadorial qualities, contestants are also judged on their involvement in their community and local affairs.
The winner will be announced as part of the celebrations at the Christmas Carnival which will take place on Sunday December 6.
Zone judging takes place in February next year, clashing with the date of the Guyra Show.
While the winner is away representing Guyra Show Society, the other entrants will each play a role in local event attending presentations and playing an ambassadorial role.
