First-time Eastern Plains client David Carolan, “Lyndhurst”, Armidale, purchased the top three bulls.
Eastern Plains Jewel J39, by Ardrossan Equator D19 from Eastern Plains EDA F22, was the $10,000 bull.
He weighed 842 kilograms, had a scrotal circumference 42.5 centimetres and had estimated breeding values of +47 for 200-day weight, +86 for 400-day weight, +113 for 600-day weight and +108 for mature cow weight.
The volume buyer was Nathan McConnell, Elders Tamworth, who purchased 13 bulls on behalf of clients.
Richard Braham, Jeogla Station, Armidale, purchased six bulls.
The sale was conducted by Elders stud stock with Paul Dooley, Tamworth, auctioneering.
