Local service clubs have thrown their support behind the organisation, ensuring their equipment remains up to date.
Earlier this year Guyra Rotary Club donated $1,000 to the VRA to assist them in purchasing equipment for their new vehicle.
At the recent Christmas Carnival, the VRA members were very pleased to show off their purchases, being a Halligan forcible entry tool and an RV shade awning.
The forcible entry tool is used for opening doors to motor vehicles and homes for fast entry and also to make an opening for the jaws of life to access tight areas of motor vehicles.
The awning has been installed on the VRA second response vehicle to use for first aid and emergency situations where a casualty needs to be put under cover.
The Guyra Lions Club have also supported the VRA by donating money for the purchase of equipment.
The Lions Club has fulfilled the wish list for the VRA supplying flares and truck anchors to assist with emergency callouts and make the job just a little easier.
