Saturday, 22nd say three matches played and all were in Open Singles.
In the first contest, Ivel Reid took on John Jackson. Ivel went to the front and was leading 7-2. John then struck and was leading 9-7 after six ends. They went to and fro for the next few ends and by end 14 the scores read 14-all.
Ivel then jumped, going out to a 20-15 lead after 20 ends. John then hit a purple patch and by end 24 was in front by 29-20, before closing it out 31-23 after 28 entertaining ends.
The next two combatants were Robert Walls and Geoff Reeves. Robert, out of the blocks early, to be leading 6-1 and then 12-4 after seven ends. With the scores reading 16-11 after 13 ends, this was where it got exciting.
Geoff kept on hanging in there and by end 22 was trailing 17-20. Geoff then strung a few ends together and lo and behold by end 28 had hit the front 24-23. Robert drew level at 24-all on the next end.
End 30 Geoff back in front 25-24. Robert then won the next five ends, going home with a 31-25 victory over Geoff after 35 hard fought ends.
The last of the day saw D Kennedy battle it out against D Wilcox. David out first going to an early 3-1 lead, before stretching it out to 15-4.
Dan came back to be trailing 10-17 after the 15th end. David jumped again, to be leading 20-10 and then out to 23-15.
Dan had a bit of a come-back and by end 38 was only trailing by two shots (27-29).
With two singles, David finally secured victory over Dan by 31-27 after 40 torrid ends.
This Saturday, November 29 will see the staging of the first round of Club Fours. Below are all teams participating:

By the time you read the results of the above Fours matches, our Annual Carnival will almost be at a conclusion.
On the calendar is the Annual Brian Vickery Ham Day to be staged on Sunday, December 14. Names to be in by 11.30am for a 12.30pm start.
Play will be box Pairs, three games of 10 ends, then the four best will play off.
