Wendy Jackson and Karen Oehlers combined well, on a freezing and blustery Wednesday, 15 October to win the 4BBB Championships with 72 Stableford points.

The Championships were played over 27 holes and Wendy played her best golf ever, dropping in some long and accurate putts on many greens. Runners up were Meg Simpson and Joyce Betts who scored a credible 63 Stableford points.
Wendy Jackson won nearest the pin, with an accurate shot into the 9th hole, only 170 centimetres from the flag.
Last Wednesday Pip White played fantastic golf, particularly on the back nine, to win the Par Medal competition with +4. Pip hit some huge drives from the tees and followed up consistently with accurate approach shots to the greens. Runner up was Shona Mulligan with +3.
Thank you to all playing members who attended the working bee. The garden beds look neat and the gravel in the cart sheds reduces the incidence of dust.
If you ever feel inspired to have a hit at golf just roll up on any Wednesday at 9:30am for a card draw and hit off by approximately 10:00am. You would be most welcome to join the companionship of the golfers and the fresh air and fitness is beneficial for your health. We are off to Yamba soon for the annual golf trip so see you when we get back!
There is a 14 holes 2 person Ambrose competition set down for Melbourne Cup Day. Play begins early to ensure you will be back in the club for the big race.
