The under 12 Guyra Bushrangers played well in their first outing. They managed to score a good total of 100 runs which is great for the first game back for the season.
Although they were defeated by Hillgrove Colts, it was a close game with only 12 runs the difference in the end. Coach Gwyneth Pearson was pleased with their effort, saying it was a great game by all of the team.
Runs scored for Guyra were by Billy Youman 21, Gus White 20, Joey Ryan 9, Calvin Reinke 5 and Henry Mitchell 8.
Taking wickets were Henry Mitchell 1 for 13, Joey Ryan 1 for 8, Gus White 2 for 4, Ricky Nutt 2 for 7 and Billy Youman 2 for 5.
The Guyra boys also took some great catches with Gus White, Calvin Reinke and Billy Youman all successful. Billy also completed a runout.
