Kingston Time was ridden beautifully by jockey, Geoffrey Snowden on Saturday in the Armidale Services Club Benchmark 49 Handicap (1900m) to win by 0.4 lengths.
“It was the perfect ride,” Grills said. “He rode to instructions, almost a repeat run from his win at Moree a few weeks back.”
It was Kingston Time’s fourth win on a day where the track was upgraded to a Good 3 midway through the meeting.
“All his wins have come from a good/fast track and drawing barrier 10 was not a problem,” Grills said. “He loves to come from behind and work his way through the pack.”
“I’m looking to back him up at Grafton in a Benchmark 55 2200m and hoping for another good run”, Grills said.
Kingston Time is locally owned by Paul’s wife Angela, Renee Bourke, Michael Jackson and Geoffrey Bell.
