The cluster includes Armidale, Glen Innes, Tenterfield, Emmaville, Guyra, Ashford, Tingha, Uralla, Bundarra and Inverell Hospitals and Community Health Services.
Tablelands Cluster Manager Wendy Mulligan said the area met all mandatory requirements, exceeding the standard to achieve Met with Merit in 10 areas in Medication Safety and Blood and Blood Product Management.
“Surveyors congratulated the staff on their commitment and dedication in delivering high quality care to the community,” Ms Mulligan said.
“Managers, staff and community representatives at all facilities, proudly demonstrated evidence of their achievements in improving care and services through the survey process.
“The surveyors were impressed with the comprehensiveness of the cluster’s evidence to support their compliance,” Ms Mulligan said.
The Accreditation process takes place every three years and is an independent process promoting safety and quality in healthcare.
“Accreditation demonstrates our health service’s commitment to achieving high quality and safe care for our patients,” she said.
