Both Barnaby and Adam gave a run down on political happenings at Federal and State level and then answered quite a few questions. It was a most enjoyable day with great food and stimulating discussion with people attending from Armidale, Uralla, Glen Innes and Guyra.
“It was wonderful to see such a large and diverse crowd of people from the district turn out, taking a strong interest in politics, to listen to and question their local MPs on a wide range of issues,” Adam Marshall said.
“I was very humbled and encouraged by the support. It’s an enormous honour to represent this area in the NSW Parliament and I’ll continue to work as hard as I can championing our region’s issues.”
As a thank you gift, the Guyra Branch presented a newly released book called “The Drover” by Alice Mabin (almabinphotography.com).
This book is a photographic record of the epic Brinkworth Cattle Drive from Winton to Hay.
During last year’s severe drought, South Australian farmer, Tom Brinkworth purchased 18,000 cattle from AACo properties and made the decision to walk the cattle to his property in Hay.
