Each year the ladies are kept busy preparing scones and pikelets which are then delivered door to door, with all money raised going to this worthwhile cause.
This year they cooked 324 scones and 480 pikelets which were topped with jam and cream and consumed with delight.
Secretary Heather Starr said that it was a wonderful effort with $990 raised on the day from the sale of morning teas and also donations.
The CWA will also be holding a street stall this Friday June 6 and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Guyra Branch of Can Assist. They would welcome support once again from the community.
