Last Saturday Guyra travelled to Uralla for their hardest game so far. Guyra turned up with 21 players which made it hard to sort out but after a while we settled our teams. At half time to the score was 10-4 Guyra way.
In the second half Guyra clicked into gear and ran away with the game 32-10. Try scorers weer Archie Dowden, Oscar Atkin, Dallas Kelly, Wahkeem Patterson and Gane Harbutt. All players trying hard and defended very good keeping Uralla to two try tries.
There will be no training in the holidays and our next game is against Bingara at Bingara when school returns.

The game played at Uralla was going to be a hard one for the team to win away from home. Uralla scored in the first few minutes but Ben Jones pushed his way through their defence at the line to even the score. Guyra played a good well rounded match, with the team running strongly up the middle of the Uralla defence.
Ben Stevens, Angus Brazier, Hamish Woods, Ryan Jones and Sean Black doing their share of the work. Good footwork displayed by Billy Youman, Jake Cook and Alistor Connor saw the team move into a dominant position as they went into the half time break, the score 16-4. Uralla brought their attacking game into the second half forcing Guyra to up their defence. But our team had all the answers. Guyra’s attack eventually wore the Uralla team down with Guyra crossing the line several more times to make the final score 42-8.
Tries scored by Jake Cook 3, Billy Youman 3, Angus Brazier 1, Alistor Connor 1 and Ben Jones 1. Points this week: Alistor Connors 3, Ben Jones 2, Billy Youman 1. Thanks to the under 8s that back up for the boys, Dallas and Brodie. Good game team.
