This year we are thoughtful of those ex-Servicemen who have “Marched on” and passed the “Torch of Remembrance” to those of us that remain.
The details of ANZAC Day services to be held are:
a. The ‘Dawn Service’ beginning at 05:45hrs;
b. Welcome and ‘swearing-in’ of new Members of the RSL at approximately 06:15;
c. War Memorial Hospital (short service) at the MPS at 09:00; and
d. The ANZAC. Day March (beginning at 10:30) with the full Commemorative Service following after the march.
If you are marching with ANY group (Veterans. The Red Cross, a School, or the Hub etc.), we ask that you be at the ‘Fourways’ Service Station (Corner Ollera and Bradley Sts), and that you are there before 10:15, at the VERY, VERY latest. Anybody needing assistance at the form up position should seek out Brian L Speary (our President. in the Blazer and Akubra), or Guyra’s own Afghanistan Veteran, Lance Corporal Jamie Mills, R.A.R., the Chief Marshall of the march.
Brian L Speary
President.
