The 8s had another big win thumping Inverell , the 10s continue to play some good football getting another win and our under 12s are making a habit of winning in another close game. The 14s and girls went down but both put in solid performances. A big well done to Billy Youman and Harry Lockyer making the northwest under 11s team congratulations boys. This week we play Uralla at Uralla.T he games will not be at Woodville Oval as they have been in the past they will play across from the golf club on the southern edge of town. The kids will be given times at training or follow Guyra junior league on Facebook or Instagram for all the up-to-date information.
Under 6s
With so many Under 6s we have been able to split them into two teams, Guyra White and Guyra Blue. So Saturday saw Guyra White coming out the winners but Guyra Blue still grinners with the score 44-32. Each week the improvement is beyond belief. For Guyra White Shanae Bull scored three length of the field tries. Hugo Brazier scored a double and he was also outstanding in defence along with some great offloads from Tynan Bull who put Dallas Kelly in for two. Guyra Blue saw a consistent effort from Jason Mowbray who is getting better every week, along with Braith Westaway and Sam Surawski. Miah Wilson is showing some brutal strength running over her opposition. Great improvement shown from all players giving 110%

Under 10s
Round 3 saw Warialda come up the hill with a win in mind, but ours boys were up to the challenge. Angus Brazier, Sean Black and Hamish Woods led the team in attack while Ryan Jones, Archie Davison and Tom Lockyer led the tackle count. The two teams were evenly matched as they fought their way to the half time break with Jayden Trindell and Jake Cook going over to lock the score at 12 apiece. Following their usual trend the Guyra boys came out hard in the second half, running the ball straight up through the Warialda centre to score another 3 tries to Jayden, Jake and Billy. Warialda is a hard side to defeat but the Guyra side is showing they can take it to the big teams. Good working together boys to get yourselves another well-deserved win. Points went to Billy 3 , Jayden 2, Ben and Jake 1.
Round 4 saw Guyra come up against Inverell East and what a game the boys had, both equally in defence and attack. The older boys experience showed today as they led the younger players around the field. Not to be out done was Tom Lockyer, who had his best game both in defence and attack scoring two of his own tries and Ben Stevens who played a good all round game. Jayalha was tackling well trying to get into the game as much as possible.
The Guyra team played well spreading the ball and positive communication gave them the desired outcome. Guyra went into the half time break with 24-4 lead. Inverell East stepped up their defence tackling well putting themselves in a good position to score 2 more tries, but it wasn’t enough. Guyra came away with a win, the finale score 42-14. Tries score: Billy Youmans 3, Tom Lockyer 2, Jake Cook 2 and Ben Jones 1. A solid performance by all, you should be proud of the way you’re playing as a team. Points this week Billy Youmans 3, Jake Cook 2, Alistor Connors 1.

Under 12s
On Saturday the boys played really well again winning in another close game. Inverell scored first and in a tough first half of football where neither side was willing to give an inch, we went into half time down 4 nil. The second half was no different to the first and, in what is quickly becoming a trademark of how the boys are playing, they ground Inverell out of the game to eventually run out winners 12-4.
It was good to see young Jesse Backer playing his first game of rugby league and playing really well, Tom Lehman continues to improve as does young Andrew Bull coming up with some big plays in the dying minutes. Good work boys keep up the good work. No game this week as Uralla have no 12s see you at training
