21st Century Australia has just announced the opening of another office, this time in Armidale, a key city in the heart of the New England electorate. They have already opened offices in Tamworth and Glen Innes.
The Armidale office is located in the Beardy St Mall and gives residents from the area easy access to find out what the 21st Century Australia Party is all about.
Mr McIntyre was prepared to commit to spend $250,000 to see Tony Windsor booted from office, but as that’s been accomplished he is prepared to invest that into defeating Barnaby Joyce ‘to save New England being dictated to by both major parties that don’t give a damn about regional Australia.’
Mr McIntyre was born and raised in Glen Innes and still has a heavy connection with the region, with hundreds of relatives still living in the New England including his parents. He also owns half a dozen beef and sheep farms throughout the district.
The party is aiming to recruit 35,000 plus members to overtake the membership levels of the Australian Labor Party. A six person candidate committee has pre-selected 12 candidates already from over 100 applicants’ for 75-100 Lower House seats throughout Australia, which will be announced as they are confirmed by the 21st Century Party selection board.
According to Mr McIntyre, Australians don’t like Rudd and will be grudgingly voting for Abbott even though they really want a better choice.
“21st Century Australia Party will be the choice Australians want and deserve,” he said.
He recently released his detailed 54 page regional policy document and is pushing for an overhaul of what he calls ‘an out-dated 19th Century political system’, including allowing voters to vote directly on major policy and removing government spending from the hands of politicians and placing it into the hands of an independent board.
“I have released a 25 point plan explaining the various ways to improve Australia,” he said. “It’s time we move on from the out-dated 19th Century Political System that is flawed and corrupted.”
