Two teams in cricket finals

Guyra Second Grade has finished second on the table after a first innings win over TAS on the weekend. After bowling TAS out for 201 on the opening day of the two day game, Guyra then gained first innings points on Saturday In the TAS innings five Guyra bowlers all got two wickets each Justin McKay 2-33, Jason Sharp 2-29, Charlie White 2-36, Matt Jackson 2-35, Mitchell Woods 2-38.

In the Guyra innings they lost an early wicket before Mitchell Woods 44 and Troy Martin put on 79 for the second wicket. A 142 run parnership for the third wicket between Troy, who finished with 78, and Tom Skipper 100 not out took Guyra to a first innings win. Darren Lennon was also not out 19. Tom’s innings included seven fours and five sixes.

The Third Grade game after Guyra was in front by 237 on the first innings saw Guyra take outright points after bowling out Centrals for 78. Jason Rolff 3-32, Steve Brazier 2-11, B J Kliendienst 1-20 and Ian Mayled 1-4. Guyra finished third on the table.

The Fourth Grade game saw Guyra score a twelve run win over Uralla. Ben Stace 32, Dean Mitchell 16 and Josiah Stace 12 were the Guyra batsmen to make double figures. Uralla looked to have the game in their keeping at 7-93 but lost their last three wickets for seven runs. The Guyra wicket takers were Matt Mason 1-37, Josiah Stace 3-21, Ben Stace 1-13, Brad Waters 2-18, Zac Atkin 1-10, Jock Waters 1-0.
