Guyra Player Shares Prestigious Award

03 Nov, 2009 04:47 PM
Some news from the Grand Final that I forgot to make aware to people that Adam Mendes picked up the Golden Boot Award with a Glen Innes player, this is awarded to the player that scores the most goals for the season, this was a well deserved award to someone who has really applied himself to his game this season so congratulations Adam.

I also decided to catch up with Coach Col for his thoughts for the 2009 season and for the future Col said that although there is disappointment from the players with losing the Grand Final he was over the moon with the application and work that all of his players put in for the season and really thinks that if this young side stick together they can have success for a long time, he was also very happy with the way the players conducted themselves on and off the field so well done boys all round.

One more thing before I sign off for the season the Caspers are holding their PRESENTATION NIGHT on Saturday 21st of November for all players and anyone else who would like to celebrate the 2009 season with the Caspers the cost is $25 a person this includes a two course meal with tea, coffee and slices for dessert, tickets to be purchased at the Guyra Bowling Club before 18th November for catering purposes and we ask if people could arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start the formalities will be short and sweet so you can enjoy the band for the night which is “Cooking With Al”, so get your tickets and come along for a great night.
