16 teams took part and helped to raise almost $3000 for the Guyra MPS. The best dressed cart for the day was entered by the Youmans family with the team from the Tomato Farm taking out the best dressed team on the day.

Sunday saw the golf course covered in golfers with a visit from the Bellingen Lady Golfers, 20 golfers from Newcastle and 23 locals. We played the Truscott Rural Traders Individual Stableford with Ian Taylor winning with 42 points, the runner-up was awarded to Len Archer after a count-back from Reg Walls. Nearest-the-pin on 7 was Trevor Davis, the 10th went to Alan Eacott and Joel Youmans took out the 18th.

Next Sunday October 25 we play the Brian Lennon Memorial 4BBB Stableford sponsored by Dasha’s Hardware; this has always been a popular day with a great array of trophies. We will also be playing the second round of the AR Burey Battle, with the third round on November 1st and the final round on November 15th. Starter for Sunday 25th is Bob Burey.

Coming up in the next few weeks: Saturday October 31 is the Steven and Debbie Sole sponsored Guyra Mixed Open. Sunday November 1 is the Kirk’s IGA sponsored Men’s Open. Sunday 8th November is the Paul Dullaway sponsored 4BBB Stableford and Family Challenge. Don’t forget Golfers can play the Guyra Associated Agents Cup on any Sunday competition. Winner of the golfers wood raffle was Marg Davis.
