Introducing Colin and Maureen Dunn

16 Mar, 2009 02:47 PM
Guyra has welcomed a new Pastor to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Colin Dunn and wife Maureen are new to the area and are looking forward to establishing themselves in the community.

Originally a licenced aircraft engineer in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Kenya, Colin trained for the ministry at the Seven Day Adventist College at Avondale.

Both were born in Victoria and raised in Queensland and they have two children and two grandchildren living in Sydney and Melbourne.

Pastor Dunn’s main love, apart from the Lord and his wife, is studying the bible in small groups and fossicking which is something he never seems to get time to do. Maureen’s interests are reading and helping others.

Having served in New Zealand’s South Island for seven years and in Lithgow for 4 years the Dunn’s feel that Guyra’s renowned winters will pose little challenge, so ‘bring on the snow.’

“We are looking forward to making ourselves useful in Guyra and Armidale by helping people with their physical health through nutritional programmes, mental health through personal development programmes and spiritual health through Bible teaching,” Pastor Dunn said.
