Term 4 has started with a hive of activity. HSC students have started their exams, K-6 have started their gymnastics program on Thursdays, The Life Education van has been here for K-6, and our new principal Mrs Burgess has been actively planning for next year with the executive staff.
School Captains
It is with great pleasure that I announce the school captains.
The school captains for 2010 are Stephanie Martin and Samuel Sisson and the vice captains are Ashleigh Gordon and Daniel Baxter. Already they have started planning for next year. To be elected they have had to have shown themselves to be leaders who have a vision to move the school forward which they outlined in their election speeches.
Stephanie will be representing the school at the Rotary Youth Speaking Competition against other schools in the area. Good luck.
Rotary Pride of Workmanship Awards
Last Wednesday Wilma Reeves our School Administrative Manager was awarded a Pride of Workmanship award in recognition of her leadership, commitment and expertise that she brings to the school.
Guiness World Record Attempt On November 6 the students from Guyra Central School and all of the Armidale schools will be attempting to break the Guiness World Record for the most number of people doing the human wheelbarrow race. It will be a very exciting time. Students need to ensure that permission notes are returned to the school if they are participating in this event.
