Explore and discover your local national parks

29 Sep, 2008 01:00 PM
Come and visit a national park these school holidays and take part in some of the exciting National Parks Discovery activities on Northern Tablelands.

Learn about nature, history and Aboriginal culture while having fun! The National Parks Discovery holiday program is not just for visitors to the area, it’s also a great way for locals to learn about their own backyard!

Everyone is encouraged to have a look at the wide range of National Parks Discovery activities on offer and to try something new these holidays.

Included for the first time are some activities a little closer to home with kids activities being held on the Mother of Ducks Lagoon on Wednesday, October 1 from 2pm to 4pm. Join the discovery rangers for an afternoon of fun and educational activities learning all about frogs.

Also of interest to locals is the Sensational Slidenight and Spotlight at Mt Duval Nature Reserve on Friday, October 3 and the guided walk around Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve on Tuesday, October 7.

These are just some of the activities planned these school holidays. For more information or to make a booking please phone the Armidale Regional Office on 6776 0000.
