Exciting week at Black Mountain School

23 Feb, 2010 10:21 AM
What a very exciting week it was at Black Mountain last week – a week full of learning both inside and outside the classroom.

On Thursday the primary students travelled in to the Guyra Swimming Pool to attend the Guyra Central School’s primary swimming carnival. Mrs Baker was extremely proud of her students for their excellent behaviour and participation rate. All of the students went in at least one race and they all tried their very hardest. Black Mountain was rewarded for this great effort by being presented with the participation prize on the day. For the number of students Black Mountain had the best participation rate at the carnival, testimate to the great team spirit of the students.

Friday was also a very exciting day at Black Mountain. It was the first Transition to School Day for students who will be starting school in 2011. What a great day it was for Will Friend and Holly Hoade who have already begun getting ready for school in 2011. Welcome to them both. The program will run every Friday for the whole of the 2010 school year. If you would like to enrol your child, or if you would like to make enquiries, just ring the school on 67750192.
