Guyra lamb takes centre stage
10 May 12 | Guyra lamb producers took centre stage in Armidale on Friday night at a dinner for the winners of the New England Expo’s prime lamb competition. Some 108 people attended the event at the Wicklow Hotel, which included seminars on industry issues, a five-course dinner featuring local lamb, and the awards presentation.
Rural Fire Service Volunteers Honoured

Along the way they will also be raising funds for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.

Bigger, better book fair
03 May 12 | The Guyra Hospital Auxiliary remain active in the Guyra Community. working to improve services and outcomes for those in need of care at the Guyra Multi Purpose Health Service. Money raised by the auxiliary is used to purchase items for the benefit of patients and provide that extra level of comfort that would otherwise be lacking.
03 May 12 | This weekend is the Official Opening of the Guyra Sporting Complex. The Hon Richard Torbay MP will perform the opening being joined by Guyra Shire Council Mayor Hans Hietbrink and representatives from Country Rugby League.
03 May 12 | The Lions Club of Guyra recently acknowledged two of its members who passed away while active members. The families of former members, Joe Prisk and Barry Starr were invited to attend a dedication of plaques which were unveiled at the Lions Memorial Park

Bridge to bridge ride
03 May 12 | On day four of their Bridge to Bridge Charity ride a group of nine cyclists were still full of enthusiasm when they passed through Guyra on Tuesday. They set out from Brisbane’s Storey Bridge on Saturday in torrential rain, to complete the 1000km ride to the finish line at the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Along the way they hope to raise funds for the Cure for Life Foundation.
